i think that the government of both sudan and rwanda are to blame for the genocides. it was wrong of them to react by killing innocent people. but i also feel that the u.s. should not get involved unless it is to help the victims of the genocide. the issues with the government are for them to deal with, not us.
the past few weeks have mostly been filled with lots of school work seeing as the grading period is ending. my knee is getting better so i can run again, and play a little bit of soccer, which i am very very excited about. all in all, everything is going good.

i dont really have a favorite type of music. i like to listen to all sorts. if you look at my ipod youll find a lot of country. basically anything thats fun to dance to and i can sing, ill listen to it. i guess since i dont have a favorite type of music i dont really have a favorite song or band either. i used to be in band in sixth grade and i played french horn, i was pretty good but it sucked pretty bad. i also was in choir for two years. i love singing but i just dont like choir.

Free bloggg
I havent really been up to much but my birthday just passed and it was lots of fun. I got lots of cute clothes. My parents were really nice to me too, which was cool. School has been going good for the most part, besides all the crazy hard biology. Soccer is fine, besides the knee issue. I guess thats pretty much it.

To fall in love ore learn to love?
I definitely think that its better to fall in love. I think arranged marriages are awful. You could wind up with a horrible person and be stuck with them for the rest of you life. I think that its much better to meet a person and find out if you could even have a decent conversation with them before you even begin to think about marriage.
During the past two weeks I have been very busy with school because the six weeks is comming to an end and I need to have good grades in all my classes. I enjoy school but it can be a lot of work. My knee still hasnt gotten better but Im improving which is exciting.

Favorite music
I dont really have a favorite musician or musical group. I guess its just too hard to pick because I listen to, and like so many different kinds of music. My favorite genre of music would have to be country though. I dont know why I like it so much because its not like I grew up listening to it or anything. Im actually the only one in my family that even likes country music. I just think its fun to sing to.
During the past few weeks I havent really been up to much. I still cant play soccer because of my knee which makes me really mad. But Ive had fun non the less.

Technology
There has been a lot of technological developement in my lifetime. For example, computers have come a LONG way. In 1994, the world wide web was created. Microchips for computers are getting smaller and smaller. Im actually very technology challenged but I am fasinated by how far we have come. The iPod is one of the most popular devise used today. I have an iPhone and its amazing. I probably use computers the most though, for school like writing papers and doing research for projects and stuff. In my math class we have a smart board, they must have been really complicated to make, but they are very cool.
Over the last few weeks Ive been very busy. My friends think Im so lazy, because on the weekends Ive been so exausted from the week of school all I want to do is sleep. Ive been having fun being back though. Soccers been fun too, although I cant even run because of my knee. Hopefully physical therapy helps with that.

Diversity
In the U.S. there are many different cultures blended together to form the U.S. own culture. People immigrate to the U.S. from all over the world. A lot of the cultural influence in America comes from Hispanic heritage. Places like Latin America and Spanish speaking countries in Europe. That is why so many people in America speak Spanish. People have also immigrated to the U.S. from countries in Asia.
The U.S. supports peoples different heritages by promoting freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of assembly. All of these unalienable rights help people who may have different beliefs than others express themselves without being discriminated against. Another way that Americans promote understanding among people from different cultural backgrounds is by not forcing any other persons religion or beliefs on others. An example of this is free prayer in school. Everybody is not forced to pray in one language or to one god. You may choose who to pray to or even if you wish to pray at all.
All together I think that America does a good job of handling the task of being a mixing bowl of cultures.
